  • What insurance is accepted? What about Medicaid?

    Because we are not a medical facility, we do not accept Medicaid, Medicare or insurance of any kind.

    We are self-pay program.

  • How much does it cost?

    The cost for a 30 day stay is $8500

  • I could scrape together some funds, can I come for a week or two

    We are a 30 day residential retreat.

  • I can manage very little financially. How can I make this happen?

    We do have partial scholarships available.

  • Is this a rehab? Detox?

    No, we are a residential retreat program.

  • But, is there an inpatient component?

    Inpatient is a term usually associated with medical or clinical programs. We are a residential retreat. Our groups are facilitated as workshops, seminars or support meetings.

  • Is there a nurse practitioner to administer MAT?

    No, we are a non-medical, non-clinical facility with no medical staff available.

  • Where are you located?

    We are located at 262 Fox Lane in Ludlow, Vermont in the beautiful Okemo Valley.

  • Vermont sounds cold, will we be cozy and inside?

    You can expect to be cozy, however, we will be doing outdoor activities year-round come rain, snow, or sunshine.

  • I’ve been sober for 2 years, would this retreat benefit me?

    Our program is designed to benefit individuals in early recovery.

  • What if I never found a home at 12-step meetings?

    That’s ok! DSRRP does not require experience with 12 steps. Although participation in all aspects of programming is expected.

  • I don’t believe in a higher power, could this program still benefit me?

    Absolutely. DSRRP does not require belief in a higher power, just an open mind and a willingness to participate and learn.

  • What kinds of activities will be available outside of recovery groups?

    Guests will participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. We will also do our best to promote creativity, whether in the arts (music, writing, etc.) or with activities (crafts, yoga, dance, gardening).

  • I’m ready to be sober, but I’m still using. Is that OK?

    Let’s talk about your use and use history and determine together what the next steps should be.

  • I’m prescribed Xanax for anxiety, but I am abstinent from drugs. Will I be able to take my medicine as prescribed?

    No. Xanax is on our list of prohibited controlled substance medications. We can forward you the entire list so that you will know which medications you may be allowed to bring with you.
